Vendor is a small community in Newton County, surrounded by Ozark forest, clear-running streams, and the Buffalo National River. The setting is as wild as any campground in Arkansas. We are Liz and Juergen. We have been hosting guests since 2009. Many of them tell us the same thing. They love the idea of camping near the Buffalo River. They do not love the reality of sleeping on the ground, packing a camp stove, or dealing with rain without shelter. Our cabin gives them the outdoor experience they want without the parts they dread.

The comfort. Step inside and you have a full kitchen, comfortable beds for up to 11, a wood-burning fireplace for cold evenings, a bathroom with hot water, and central heat and air. Linens, towels, and basic kitchen supplies are provided. You bring groceries and personal items. Everything else is handled.

Here is what a typical glamping day looks like at Misty Creek Lodge.
Morning. Wake up to creek sounds and birdsong. Make coffee in the kitchen — real coffee, not camp coffee. Cook breakfast on the stove. Eat on the porch while the mist lifts from the valley. No tent to unzip. No dew on your sleeping bag. Just a warm mug and a view.
